BoltKit ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application and visit our website at boltkit.app.

            Summary: The BoltKit app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data — all processing happens locally on your device. Our website uses Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic.
        

Information the App Does Not Collect

The BoltKit iOS and macOS app does not collect:

Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
Location data
Usage analytics or behavioural data
Device identifiers for tracking purposes
Any data you enter into the app

Local Data Storage

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

Your Data: Tool history, saved calculations, and recently used values are stored locally on your device in JSON files within the app's sandboxed container.
Preferences: App settings and preferences are stored locally using UserDefaults.
Purchase Status: Your in-app purchase status is managed by Apple and stored securely on your device.
iCloud Sync (Pro): If you enable iCloud sync, your saved data is synced through your personal iCloud account. We never have access to this data.

You can delete all local data at any time by uninstalling the app.

Third-Party Services

In-App Purchases: Processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

DNS Lookups: The DNSLookup tool sends DNS queries to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or Google (8.8.8.8) DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers. These queries contain only the domain name being looked up. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy and Google's DNS Privacy Policy.

Crash Reporting: Uses Apple's built-in crash reporting through Xcode Organizer. Reports contain only technical diagnostic data (stack traces, device model, OS version). No personal information is included.

Website Analytics

Our website (boltkit.app) uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns and improve the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as:

Pages visited and time spent on each page
Approximate geographic location (country/region) derived from your IP address
Browser type, operating system, and device category
Referring website

IP addresses are anonymised by Google before storage. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with any other information. Google may use the data subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by enabling "Do Not Track" or similar privacy settings in your browser, or by blocking analytics cookies.

Note: Website analytics apply only to visits to boltkit.app. The BoltKit app itself does not include Google Analytics or any other tracking SDK.

Children's Privacy

BoltKit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
